However we booked a private tour for four people but the vehicle provided was totally inadequate as the leg room in the rear seats was not enough for two adults (only suitable for children) and getting in and out of the rear seats was extremely difficult. The driver himself was excellent. The guide did not escort us to places like the park reception or cave reception and tour but left it to ourselves to work out what to do. The organisation of travel between parts of the journey and the hotel were pretty seamless. Likewise, the tours themselves and the guides were outstanding. “If you have limited time in Punta Arenas, this is the perfect experience. It allows you to cover as much ground as possible. The dates for both trips changed last minute but we were flexible enough as we were in the area for longer. We were still able to avail of the airport transfer. The guides on both tours spoke Spanish and English. The accommodation in Patagonia B&B was basic but sufficient. People were friendly (spoke very little English) and the breakfast was good.
